John Cooper, Pete Hann, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. With only four we worked clearing the bottom shaft of Saturday’s debris. Going down nicely. 1½ hours. John.

Pete Hann, John Cooper, Jude & Myself. With another Monday night with a depleted team we decided to dig at the bottom. Lots of spoil but no real depth progress. Adrian.

Pete, Nigel & Myself. A very late start due to Friday night’s fire call, so literally down to the end. 1m x 10mm hole drilled, 1m of 40gm retired and fired. Again, we had the interesting phenomenon of an initial chase of fumes followed by another lot 10 minutes later. Certainly, they felt they were driven by a draught. Maybe the second lot of fumes comes up through the boulders. Adrian.
