John Cooper, Adrian Vanderplank, Jude Vanderplank and Barry Weaver. Drilled holes after clearing floor. One 450mm in rock ahead right, 2 sloping 450mm in floor on right and 3 vertical 300mm in floor. Spoil created. 2 hours.

James Collings, John Cooper, Will Reed, Simon Richards (Nik Nak), Adrian Vanderplank and Wayne Starsmore. 37 loads of boulders hauled up to the top of Four-Tonne Shaft before Adrian decided he’d run out. James and Will then went to look at the bottom and moved it about a bit. 2 hours. John.

James Collings, John Cooper, NikNak, Will Reed, Wayne Starsmore & Myself. 37 buckets out from the bottom of 4 tonne shaft. A look at the bottom shows the R/H wall sort of delaminating with a good draught coming from between the gaps. It will need a bang soon. Adrian.
