John Cooper, Simon Richards (Nik-Nak), Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Adrian and Jude built walls at top of Four Tonne Shaft whilst Nik Nak drilled 2 x 1m holes for 40gm cord at bottom. Also started 20mm hole for rebar to support roof of new tunnel. Adrian then charged holes and fired. 2 hours. John.

Cooper, NikNak, Jude & Myself. A productive
digging session tonight with Jude & Myself adding height to the top wall of
the shaft from main chamber and a bit to the intermediary wall at the top of
the old stacking space. NikNak &
John drilled two 10mm holes x 1 metre deep and the bottom and 1 x 20mm hole
which will be used to place a piece of rebar in as a safety feature. I then went
down loaded the holes with 40gm cord, connected it up and NikNak fired it from
the ledge, which the wire still reaches just!!! A good thump
was heard, but we weren’t chased out by the fumes, not sure if that’s a good or
a bad thing. Adrian.
