John Cooper and Adrian Vanderplank. With only 2 tonight we replaced the 3mm ladders on the bottom part of Nut Pitch with 4mm - the one removed on 31^st October and a Swildon’s type one joined together. Both have been treated with ROCOL Wire Rope Fluid, a preservative. ½ hour. John.

Monday 20th November 2017

John Cooper, Will Reed and Adrian Vanderplank. With only 3 tonight we hauled 28 loads up Four-Tonne shaft, throwing the rock into the Pit, and then cleared the Pit. It was the wettest I’ve ever seen the place! Bats moving in. 2 hours. John.

John Cooper, William Reed, Myself. With a very depleted digging crew we actually got quite a lot done! 28 buckets up 4 tonne shaft to the Pit and then cleared to the top. Very wet, water going down the entrance shaft and 4 tonne Shaft as well. Adrian.
