John Cooper and Simon Richards (Nik Nak). With
just 2 we decided to go to the bottom and see what we could do. We spent the
time creating a heap of spoil that should keep us busy for at least a week. 2
hours.
Monday 20th August 2018
John Cooper, Jacob Easterling, Mark Easterling
(Bean), Wayne Starsmore, Adrian Vanderplank, Jude Vanderplank and Barry Weaver.
Adrian and Jude had an early start with capping. When the rest of us arrived
Jude went out. One load of stone dust carried in and mixed up to use at the
bottom. Replaced the krab on the hauling rope in Four-Tonne shaft with a new
one supplied by Tony. With Adrian capping, John filling, Barry hauling up the
bottom shaft, Wayne transferring, Jacob on the ledge and Bean throwing the
spoil along to The Pit 29 loads were hauled up before the cement was requested.
Whilst Adrian and John cemented the rest emptied the Pit. Adrian took a picture
of the pretties in the way on. 3 hours +.

deposited in The Pit before then being moved to the top. The bottom of
Four-Tonne shaft is now clear. The top section of the lower part of Nut pitch
