John Cooper, Rob Harper,
Pete Hellier, Will Reed, Wayne Starsmore and Adrian Vanderplank. Took in
another 2 bags of sand. Worked the bottom tunnel and shaft this evening. Pete
at the face, Wayne breaking up rocks, Rob loading, Will hauling and John
hauling and transferring 30 rather heavy loads of rocks were sent along to
Adrian for stacking at the foot of Four-Tonne Shaft. The bottom now has a
couple of rocks requiring breaking up plus some clatch. After that on to the face.
Will forgot his gloves and now has blisters on both hands! Very drippy tonight.
2¼ hours.

Monday 23rd September 2019
John Cooper, Courtenay
James, Mike Kousiounis, Wayne Starsmore and Adrian Vanderplank. Took in another
2 bags of sand. At the deviation pulley in Four-Tonne Shaft Adrian noted the
rope had been wrapped around it several times, not how we left it last Monday.
With Adrian loading, John on the ledge, Courtenay above him and Mike passing
the loads to Wayne in The Pit, 49 loads were hauled up Four-Tonne Shaft, odd
since we’d only put 30 at the bottom last week. The Pit was then emptied. The cave
is still quite dry. 2¼ hours.

more clatch and large boulders to sort out at the bottom. Good draught tonight. 2½ hours.
