Pete & Myself. With a much depleted team due to it being the Christmas Party weekend, we carried on digging at the bottom. For some reason we have hit a thick layer of mud & rock but strangely it still has calcited boulders in it. The bottom was extremely drippy, which led Pete to remark “Is this stupidity or dedication?” “Dedicated Stupidity” was my reply! Adrian.

John Cooper, Pete Hann, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Jude filled the bucket and the rest of us hauled up the spoil in the main shaft. With only four of us we had to double handle it so only 21 buckets moved. 1½ hours. John.
