John Cooper, Pete Hann, Simon Richards (Nik Nak) and Adrian Vanderplank. Adrian filled the bucket and the rest of us hauled up the spoil in 4-Ton shaft. Only 31 buckets of rocks moved as we had to double handle them. 2 hours. John.

Pete, NikNak, John Cooper and Myself. Another hauling session and the plan to haul clatch had to be modified due to Tom not turning up. Thirty one buckets of rocks hauled up instead. Finally a quick look at the bottom, Saturday’s bang seems to have been very effective with a lot of calcite and rock to clear. Adrian.

Pete, Nigel & Myself. Cave very damp. All to the bottom. Pete drilled 3 holes, 2 x 0.5m holes and a 1m long hole. I laid the charge with 40gm cord and we retired to the ledge to fire it. The charge wasn’t as loud as I thought it might be. As we were about to prussik up the fumes had caught up with us, going straight out. Adrian.
