and Adrian Vanderplank. Took in 2 bags of sand. One mix of cement taken down
Four-Tonne Shaft. Half used by Adrian supporting the protruding boulder and
half used by John supporting the left hand wall. Meanwhile Wayne continued
building the Spiral Staircase. A flow test proved negative today. Draught
testing inconclusive too. 2¼ hours.
Monday 11th November 2019
John Cooper, Pete Hellier, Wayne Starsmore and Adrian Vanderplank. Took in 2
bags of sand. One mix of cement taken down Four-Tonne Shaft. Half used at the
top of the bottom shaft and the other half used in the bottom tunnel. Meanwhile
Wayne built up the Spiral Staircase. Interesting flow test between the pee-hole
at the mixing spot and the bottom Grotto. Need to re-do and time. 2 hours.
Saturday 9th November 2019
Courtney James, Kim Lake, Gerik Rhoden,and Wayne Starsmore and Chris Williams. Wayne had pre-rigged
Nut pitch and all the shafts for SRT so it didn't take long to get
everyone down to the bottom. All had a look at the Grotto and dig face.
While Wayne derigged, the rest hauled all the spoil from
the Pit and dumped it on the Spiral Staircase. Wayne also changed the haulling
crab at the top of Four-Tonne shaft. All out and back to Wessex for tea and cake. 2.5
hours.
Thursday 7th November 2019
John Cooper and Adrian Vanderplank. Removed the worn deviation pulley from
Four-Tonne Shaft for Nigel Graham to look at on Saturday. Did 2 cement mixes to
build up the wall at the Spiral Staircase. 1¼ hours.
