Cooper, Jude & Myself. A very depleted
digging team this night so I had the chance to go to the bottom and dig. The triangular
gap between the wall and the banged rock was quite gappy and I managed to lower
the floor by about 18”. It looked quite encouraging, but probably more
encouraging was the draught coming out of the crack on the North side. Quite a few
buckets hauled up but with John on his own at the top of the shaft we
eventually gave up and retired to the pub. Adrian.
