Went to reduce the boulder at the face to manageable chunks. 4 x 10mm holes x 550mm long drilled for 40gm cord. Wire did not quite reach bottom of Four-Tonne shaft. Spoil now waiting collection. 2¼ hours.

Monday 25th March 2019

John Cooper, Tom Crossley, Mike Kousiounis, Wayne Starsmore and Adrian Vanderplank.

Mike and Tom went in first to have a look at the bottom. Then with Adrian loading, Mike on the ledge, Tom just below John in Four-Tonne Shaft and Wayne in The Pit 45 loads were hauled up leaving the base of the shaft clear. Finally the spoil was moved from The Pit ready for use on the spiral staircase. 2¼ hours.

Monday 18th March 2019

Maxine Bateman, John Cooper, Pete Hellier, Tony Seddon and Adrian Vanderplank.

With Adrian loading, Maxine and Tony hauling and Pete stacking the bottom shaft was cleared of rocks, 45 loads. Meanwhile John moved rock and gravel back from the face. At the end this gravel was dumped behind the wall part way up the bottom shaft. 2¼ hours.
