John Cooper, Courtenay James, Mike Kousiounis, Will Reed, Tony Seddon, Wayne Starsmore, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Will went to the bottom to have a look at the new “grotto” and the dig face. On his return he stayed at the bottom of Four-Tonne shaft to load the buckets. John was hauling on the ledge, Courtenay above him and Tony at the top who passed them to Mike in The Pit who transferred them to the next bucket to be hauled up by Wayne (assisted by Jude and Adrian) who passed them to Adrian and Jude to empty on the Spiral Staircase. In this way 50 loads were moved up. Will thinks that might have been about 50% of what was at the bottom of Four-Tonne shaft! 2 hours.
