John Cooper, Mark Easterling (Bean), Mike Kousiounis, Will Reed, Wayne Starsmore, Adrian Vanderplank and Jude Vanderplank. Adrian and Jude made an early start to photograph the “grotto” entered on 23^rd May. They then started digging the lower route on. After Bean and Mike had had a look we continued the work. About 21 loads of clatch destined for the Spiral Staircase were hauled up the bottom shaft with a similar amount being left there (and quite a few rocks as well). Way on at the low level definitely looking good. 2 hours.
