Maxine Bateman, Daren Chapman, Clair Cohen, John Cooper, Mark Easterling (Bean), Mark Kellaway (Mak) and Wayne Starsmore. 2 bags of sand taken in. After people had a look at the “grotto” work started moving spoil. Wayne, Maxine and Daren worked the bottom tunnel, Mak filled buckets which Bean hauled and gave to John who transferred the spoil to the drag tray which Clair hauled along and emptied at the base of Four-Tonne shaft. After a while Mak moved higher up the shaft to aid Bean whilst Daren took over loading the buckets. A total of 42 loads. Plenty left at the dig face but we need space to transfer it to. 2 hours.
